About the volunteering opportunity
Over the past few years, we have collected shoes, bicycles, school desks, and other donations in Berlin and other parts of Germany to send to our loved ones in Cameroon. Our drives were so successful—and we had so many generous donors—that we filled many basement rooms with the donations. Now the building is being renovated, and we have to move the donations from the basement rooms to our temporary location by the end of the month.
It hasn’t been an easy journey, but it has definitely been worth it. However, to organize this move successfully, we need a lot of help to transport all the donations!!! To that end, we’re planning a big packing event on Saturday, July 25, 2026, in two shifts: one from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the other from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. (you can choose whichever works best for you!).

Your Tasks
The wonderful volunteers who want to help are expected to carry boxes from the office or basement to the vans, organize the items in the vans, and pack some of the donations. Please keep in mind that this volunteer work does require physical effort. The next step will be to unload the donations from the vans and carry them into the new storage rooms at Neuköllnische Allee 10, 12057 Berlin.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity you don't need any German skills.
We don't need any special skills from volunteers. Volunteers should come on that day with some positive energy, team spirit, flexibility and happy mood.

We welcome all kinds of volunteers. We accept whatever amount of time you can spare. Our team is international and open to everyone. Volunteers are welcome to bring friends and others to join in the activity.

The Hope Foundation is a non-profit, non-governmental organization based in Cameroon and Germany. Since 2001 we have been dedicated to children and women in Cameroon. We are particularly active in the areas of development cooperation, health and education. Due to the close contact with the Cameroonian population, we are in constant exchange about problems and solutions.
In Germany, we organize information and charity events as well as an education project on "global learning".
