About the volunteering opportunity

Help us make rugby accessible to everyone. As a volunteer promoting wheelchair rugby, you’ll support the Wild Boars Rugby Club e.V. in developing an inclusive wheelchair rugby program. Working together with the club, community partners, and disability organizations, you’ll help lay the groundwork for a welcoming environment where people with disabilities can play sports, build self-confidence, and become part of our rugby community.

No prior experience with wheelchair rugby is required—what matters is your passion for inclusion, teamwork, and fostering a sense of community.

Your Tasks

As a volunteer working to promote wheelchair rugby, you can support the club with the following tasks:

  • Assisting with the planning and development of a wheelchair rugby program
  • Building relationships with disability organizations, rehabilitation centers, and community partners
  • Helping to organize inclusive training sessions and introductory events
  • Helping to recruit participants, volunteers, and coaches
  • Assisting with grant applications and identifying opportunities for collaboration in inclusive sports
  • Assistance with promoting wheelchair rugby through social media and public relations
  • Assistance in finding suitable venues and accessible facilities
  • Support with equipment planning and logistics
  • Contributing ideas to ensure that the program is inclusive, welcoming, and sustainable
  • Supporting the long-term development of inclusive sports within the Wild Boars Rugby Club e.V.
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape one of the club’s future flagship projects in the area of inclusion and to make a significant contribution to equal access to sports in Berlin.
