About the volunteering opportunity
Dreamsharing Festival 2026 – “Urbane Demokratie: Zwischen Orten und Menschen” is a free, open and participatory festival taking place on 19 September 2026 from 14:00 to 22:00 at Westend Tower in Frankfurt am Main.
The festival brings people from different backgrounds together to meet, exchange ideas and explore how democracy, participation and belonging are experienced in our everyday lives and urban spaces. Participants can enjoy interactive workshops, live music, free food and drinks, and free textile printing.
We are looking for open-minded volunteers who would like to actively participate in the festival, meet new people, exchange perspectives and contribute their own ideas and experiences. The focus is on participation, intercultural exchange, creativity and community.

Your Tasks
Participants are invited to actively take part in the festival programme and explore the different workshops, creative activities and interactive formats offered throughout the day.
They will:
- Participate in the different workshops and interactive activities
- Engage in conversations and exchange ideas with other participants
- Share their own perspectives, experiences and ideas
- Take part in creative and hands-on activities, including textile printing
- Connect with people from different backgrounds and cultures
- Explore the theme “Urbane Demokratie: Zwischen Orten und Menschen”
- Participate in discussions and activities around democracy, community, participation and urban life
- Enjoy and engage with the music and cultural programme
- Contribute to an open, inclusive and welcoming atmosphere
No previous experience is required. What matters most is curiosity, openness and a willingness to participate, connect with others and share ideas.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity you don't need any German skills.
No specific qualifications or previous experience are required. We are looking for people who are open-minded, curious, respectful and interested in meeting people from different backgrounds. A willingness to participate in workshops, creative activities and discussions is more important than specific skills. Basic German is helpful, but not essential if the participant can communicate in English.

On weekdays, during the day
Participants are welcome to join on Saturday, 19 September 2026, from 14:00 to 22:00 for the Dreamsharing Festival 2026 in Frankfurt. This is a one-day, project-based experience. Participants can take part throughout the festival and engage with the programme according to their interests.
Important notice
This is a participatory festival, so participants are not expected to provide organisational or logistical support. The main purpose is to be part of the experience, connect with others, exchange perspectives and actively participate in the programme.
The festival is free to attend and includes workshops, live music, free food and drinks, and free textile printing. Participants should come with an open mind and be ready to engage, share and have fun.
