Partnership for people with a refugee background

Support one or more people with a refugee background with different concerns. Besides cultural and language mediation, it is about being in contact with each other in a friendly, open and eye-to-eye way. 

We offer:

• Supervision, if desired

Your Tasks

The volunteers in the Mittelhof support refugees with a wide range of issues. They help to find an apartment, give tutoring in learning the German language, meet for joint activities, accompany with visits to authorities and much more. The godmothers shape their commitment themselves in terms of time and effort.

What's needed

You should be able to approach people with a different cultural background with an open mind.

A willingness to help and curiosity for new subjects are certainly an advantage.

Time required

For more than 70 years, Mittelhof e.V. has been one of the largest sponsors of education, care and culture in the south-west of Berlin, as well as of civic engagement, self-help and voluntary work.
