We are a small group of people who have opened a for-free shop in Düsseldorf and would like to make it available to everyone. We work on a voluntary, unpaid basis and strive for a respectful treatment of people, animals and resources according to the principle of the Umsonstökonomie.
What do we want?
Our concept is that of the "for free economy", i.e. in our shop we don't "pay" with money and we don't "exchange", but everyone can bring and take what they like freely, without constraint and on their own responsibility. It is a free give and take without exchange or counter value and without money. Monetary donations are accepted and used for materials, maintenance, store furnishings, and to support No Man's Land, who provide us with the space.
The U-Laden is meant to be a place for everyone and not primarily charitable, but also ecological, social, holistic and critical of consumption.
We maintain the shop (and our guests^^). i.e. we clean up, sort in and around, show the guests where what is. We take donations and put them away. On the sofa we can chat and for a voluntary donation we serve coffee. We're happy to give out all kinds of info if the visitor needs it and is on a whim.
We are open every Saturday from 14 - 18 o'clock and it would be nice if you could help 1-2 times a month for one shift, i.e. 2 hours in the shop.

The "Niemandslands" (The Nomansland) is a project workshop. There are several buildings on the association's premises that we operate collectively so that people can meet there and work on their projects. The Niemandsland is open daily for members and guests.
