About the volunteering opportunity

ReDI School offers education to break down barriers and connect the leaders of tomorrow. We use technology to connect human potential with employment opportunities with dignity and humility. We value reliability, usefulness, care, and playfulness. We are a volunteer-based organization that could not exist without the incredible power of our tech community of volunteers across Germany, Denmark & Sweden. Our volunteers teach, mentor, and support our students along their journeys. This way, we can offer all our classes without any fee to our learners.
Your Tasks
- Present teaching content and support the students in class with exercises.
- The ReDI Team provides presentations and exercises!
- Classes are taught in pairs, with teaching teams comprising 7-9 superheroes. Volunteers usually take over around one lesson each week and can assign themselves to different roles according to their preferences (lead teacher or assistant teacher).
- Learners groups consist of about 15-20 students.
What's needed
Ideally, you should have knowledge or working experience in the following areas:
- Data Analytics with Python
- UX/UI Design
- JavaScript
- HTML & CSS
- Cloud
Time required
The classes will take place on weekday evenings (7 - 9 pm CEST), either Mon + Wed or Tue + Thu. You find the course schedule here.
The time commitment for the lessons would be about 3 lessons per month + 2 hours per lesson when teaching.

ReDI School of Digital Integration
ReDI School of Digital Integration is a non-profit digital school for newcomers in Berlin. The school offers its students free, high-quality training, the chance to join the startup and digital industry, and a physical platform to connect newcomers to locals.
To support the students in their studies, ReDI equips them with workstations in co-working spaces and access to technical mentors to work in project groups. Apart from technological skills, ReDI also provides know-how of digital entrepreneurs, and connects students early on with the local startup scene and potential employers through networking events.
