About the volunteering opportunity
Lonely, elderly people often have a high need for conversation. In order to be able to meet this need, we are looking for volunteer support for our association Freunde alter Menschen e.V. in our office in Berlin Mitte.
Your Tasks
Do you enjoy talking on the phone and exchanging ideas with older people? Listening to them and finding out contact information for other organizations or institutions when needed? Do you find networking requests exciting rather than challenging? And you have experience in setting yourself apart? Then you're just the person we're looking for.
What's needed
An intensive training period will help you find your way around and enable you to work more independently, step by step. You should have a general understanding of databases and digital document repositories in order to be able to make the best use of everything that is already available.
Time required
Time frame: A few hours a week (for training Mon-Fri, flexible thereafter), office hours approx. 9am-5pm.
Important notice
With the honorary position you would be involved in an internationally active, non-profit association and would have the opportunity to participate in internal, Germany-wide training.
