About the volunteering opportunity
You speak Turkish?
The German Red Cross in Bremen is looking for volunteer translators for refugees.
Strengthen our teams in the emergency shelter in Überseestadt as well as in the two transitional homes in Horn-Lehe.
You will support the social services and/or the migration counseling, accompany refugees to office hours, during visits to authorities or generally translate texts.
Many of the refugees do not speak German or English. Therefore, the German Red Cross in Bremen is dependent on your assistance.
Your Tasks
Voluntary translation activities German - Turkish / Turkish - German at doctor's visits, visits to offices and authorities or textual translations
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
The languages German and Turkish are required.
