About the volunteering opportunity
We encourage young people to make the transition from school to work. To this end, we organize MUT camps with the following programme:
- 5-day learning camps for a maximum of 36 young people in year 10.
- Entry into an intensive learning phase: for four days, we work on technical content in workshop formats outside the school environment.
- The evening program consists of sports and leisure activities.
- On the last day, the participants present the results of their work in a "MUT rehearsal" in front of an external jury.
Our aim is to promote the young people's self-efficacy and professional skills for career orientation and to strengthen their resilience.
Your Tasks
Workshop leader
- You plan and lead lessons for a group of 10-12 young people from year 10
- Requirements: Teaching experience with young people, older than 22 years, completed training or studies, computer skills, good knowledge of German
- Time required: Online training in advance + 2 days preparation, 7 days camp (2 of which preparation on site)
- Compensation for expenses: 520€ / mini-job
Team-MUTivator:innen / workshop assistants
- You support the implementation of the workshops and accompany the young people in their learning process
- Requirements: Enjoy working with young people, older than 22 years, computer skills, completed training or studies, good knowledge of German
- Time required: Online training in advance + 7 days camp (2 of which are spent preparing on site)
- Compensation: 400€ / mini-job
Camp management assistants
- You support the camp management with organizational matters
- Requirements: Driving license, older than 20 years, good knowledge of German, completed training or studies
- Online training in advance + 7 days camp (2 of which preparation on site)
- Compensation: 400€ / mini-job
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
You are a real doer who not only enjoys working with young people and has excellent communication skills, but also keeps an overview in challenging situations and masters them with a certain ease, humor and flexibility.
