Braunschweig Alliance for Family
In June 2006, the Local Alliance for Family Braunschweig was founded. Representatives from business, institutions and associations are involved in our alliance. It is important to us that the situation of families living in Braunschweig is increasingly brought into political and social focus. In times of increasing flexibility, help with childcare in particular is urgently needed - especially when grandparents live far away.
Our network launched family-friendly offers for flexible childcare in 2007. In addition to a reliable office team of volunteers, our "allies" naturally include our enthusiastic childcare workers, who have helped many a family with a tricky childcare situation.

Funding comes from membership dues, donations, and income from agreements with health insurance companies and businesses that use our flexible childcare or home help services.
Objectives
Our projects are designed to positively promote the living environment for families in Braunschweig. We want to achieve this through work in the thematic fields:
- Reconciliation of family and work
- Flexible care for family members
- Educational competence
- Prevention
We want to bring the situation of families living in Braunschweig more into political and social focus. The current focus is on offers to relieve the burden of unscheduled childcare. We are very interested in the development of other topics and the implementation of new project ideas.
