Balu und Du
Balu und Du is a nationwide mentoring program that supports primary school children through personal attention and active leisure activities outside of school. Young, committed people volunteer to take on the individual mentorship of a primary school child for a year and help the child to develop in our society.

Then you've come to the right place!
After successful participation, you will receive a certificate of volunteering. You will also be reimbursed €30 per month for expenses - so it costs you nothing to join.
"Balu und Du" is aimed at students from all faculties of Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences and young adults from outside the university.

Objectives
The later educational success of children is still strongly influenced by their social background and the educational status of their parents. These are often the reasons why children have difficulties getting started and why the frequently invoked "equal opportunities" remain a foreign concept for them. They are unable to develop their personality and many talents remain undiscovered. The aim of "Balu und Du" is to cushion this inequality of opportunity and to recognize, awaken and develop talent, thereby promoting the positive development of children in society and at school.
