Familienzentrum Trudering
We are an organisation where a primary school child (Mogli) is joined by a great friend (Balu). While Mogli must be proposed by a teacher or a school social worker, Balu is a young adult (up to 30 years of age) who volunteers to accompany the child once a week for two to three hours in his or her free time.

Objectives
The aim of this friendship is to strengthen the child's self-confidence and self-esteem to such an extent that it can better cope with the challenges of everyday life. Informal learning and the 1:1 relationship often improves the child's performance at school. Balu, on the other hand, makes an important contribution to a more solidary community and becomes - as independent studies on Balu and you have shown - more organised and self-disciplined.
