About the volunteering opportunity
In the open.med Magdeburg project, we advise and care for people without health insurance or difficult access to the healthcare system during consultation hours. The majority of our patients belong to vulnerable groups. In addition to medical care, we support these people with socio-legal and psychosocial advice. The main aim of the project is to (re)integrate patients into the regular healthcare system.
We are looking for volunteer medical students to assist with our medical consultations and mobile outreaches. We would like 2 services of 3 to 4 hours per month. We have fixed duty rosters, so it is easy to plan ahead.
