About the volunteering opportunity
Help us make Starcode e.V. a leading player in the field of IT education and gender diversity by strengthening the financial foundation of our organization and thus laying the foundation for our growth. Your Tasks
📊 Financial planning: Develop and monitor budgets, prepare financial forecasts and report on our financial position.
🚀 Financial strategy: Develop strategies for the long-term financial health and growth of the organization
💡 Fundraising: Identify and develop new sources of funding, including donations, grants and other funding.
📝 Reporting: Prepare financial reports and ensure compliance with funding guidelines
🤝 Relationship management: Maintain relationships with donors and financial partners and develop new partnerships.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
- Analytical skills: You have a good feel for numbers and can evaluate financial data in such a way as to create meaningful strategies.
- Strong communication skills: You can communicate financial topics clearly and inspire others with our ideas.
- Organizational skills: You keep track of budget plans, deadlines and different projects without losing sight of the big picture.
- Initiative: We value volunteers who are proactive, contribute their own ideas and take responsibility for their projects.
- Interest in education and IT: A fundamental interest in our education and IT goals will help you understand and support our mission.
- Flexibility: As we work remotely, flexibility and a willingness to attend virtual meetings and events are important.
- Experience in finance (an advantage, but not mandatory): Knowledge of financial management or accounting is helpful, but not a must. We also welcome career changers.

As a non-profit organization, we offer free programming courses for girls between the ages of 11 and 19 in order to introduce them to the diverse possibilities and opportunities of computer science and to arouse their interest in corresponding courses of study with an open and inspiring community. Together, we want to ensure more gender diversity in the IT sector!
