About the volunteering opportunity
The Mütterladen Giesing family center offers an open meeting place with a café for families with children up to the age of 4. Families like to come and play with their children in a relaxed atmosphere and have breakfast or a coffee. Parents have the opportunity to exchange ideas and children can get to know other children.
Your Tasks
As part of a team, you will be responsible for
- welcoming guests in a friendly manner
- Showing them around and explaining the rules
- Taking care of the buffet (shopping, arranging, setting the table, clearing up, cashing up, possibly baking cakes)
- Establishing contact with the guests
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
You should:
- Enjoy and have some experience in dealing with people, especially young children
- Be open and respectful of all people (regardless of religion, gender, origin, etc.)
- be punctual, reliable and tidy
- be able to approach people

Every volunteer enters their name in the calendar. You don't always have to be available. Working hours are flexible.

Important notice
For the work we need an extended certificate of good conduct according to § 30 para. 5 of the Federal Central Register Act for your inspection and a certificate for employees handling food according to § 43 para. 5 of the Infection Protection Act. Don't worry, we can help you with this. The costs will be covered by us.
