About the volunteering opportunity
A large part of the news consists of conflicts, scandals, wars and disasters. Reports on new opportunities and working solutions to societal challenges tend to be rare and are quickly lost in the mass of other articles.
That's why we launched Squirrel News: We look for the most important solution-oriented news and bundle it into compact issues that we distribute three times a week via app and newsletter. This way, anyone who wants it can get a unique overview of new opportunities, solution approaches and success stories from all areas of society with just a few clicks.
Our service is non-profit and advertising-free, and our team consists almost entirely of volunteers.
At the moment, we are looking for reinforcements for our team in the area of press relations, in order to further increase the reach of our app and bring the world of solutions to even more people.
Your Tasks
The biggest part of the task is to identify and contact suitable newspapers, online magazines, blogs, influencers etc.. But we are also open to other approaches.
What's needed
At least some experience with press relations would be good. It is also important to have a good writing style and enjoy communicating, preferably with a sense of humor.
