About the volunteering opportunity
In the ArrivalAid asylum procedure accompaniment, specially qualified volunteers prepare asylum seekers for their hearing date at the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) or, if necessary, the hearing in an administrative court and stand by them throughout the asylum procedure.
Your Tasks
As an asylum procedure companion, you prepare asylum seekers for the crucial dates in the asylum procedure. You talk to them about their flight history and simulate the hearing situation before the Federal Office or the hearing before the administrative court. This is not legal advice, but rather accompaniment and support.
What's needed
You should bring time and motivation (from 4 hours per month for approx. 1 year) for this volunteering opportunity. Prerequisite is the participation in an introductory training course.
