About the volunteering opportunity
ForTomorrow is a small organization that relies on volunteers. We are not profit-oriented in order to make an impact. We take responsibility and have the freedom to experiment and learn. We work independently towards clear goals. We can work when and how we want. We share everything we do on Trello, Slack, GDocs, Figma and Github.
We also want to make our non-profit climate subscriptions attractive to people who don't live in Germany. To achieve this, it is important that donations to our gGmbH can also be tax-deductible abroad. We have not yet been able to find out exactly how this works in the various countries.
In addition, we regularly have topics on which we may need advice
Your Tasks
So you can consider each country or jurisdiction as a separate project. For each jurisdiction, we need to:
- Understand the relevant rules
- Clear things with the local tax office if necessary
- Collect documents
- Make application
- Follow-up communication with the local tax office
What's needed
For the non-profit applications either:
- Bachelor of Law, or
- Experience with this type of application
- Charitable status
- Emissions trading
- Internet law
- Data protection
Time required
You can organize your time yourself. Based on the first country we looked at, we estimate the time required to be around 3-6 hours per area of law.
Where?
This project is location independent.
ForTomorrow
ForTomorrow enables people to live carbon neutral in an easy, effective way. We offer subscription solutions that offset subscribers' carbon emissions by planting trees in Germany and purchasing European emissions rights.
