About the volunteering opportunity
You don't want to accept the world as it is and want to work with other young people for equal opportunities and children's rights?
Then become part of terre des jeunes, the action group for young people at the children's rights organization terre des hommes! In the terre des jeunes group, young people between the ages of 18 and 35 from all regions of Germany, get involved in various children's rights issues and support the political work of terre des hommes. We plan and organize our own creative actions and develop ideas for new campaigns, for example, on the topic of flight or the EU supply chain law at our bi-monthly online meetings and action workshops.
Once a year, we meet for a weekend in presence and participate in workshops and plan our activities for the following year. Would you also like to become part of the terre des jeunes group? We are always happy to welcome new people who want to work with us for a more just world.
What awaits you:
- You will expand your knowledge of children's rights issues such as the children's right to a healthy environment or the situation of young people who are refugees in exciting online events and nationwide weekend workshops
- You will gain practical experience in campaign planning and
- You will work together with other young activists in creative action formats for the protection of children's rights
- You will gain insights into the work of an international children's rights organization and have the opportunity to help shape the association
- If you feel like it, you can also start your own terre des jeunes group locally, we will support you!

Your Tasks
- regular participation in the online meetings and the face-to-face meeting in spring
- Contributing ideas for actions and helping to plan their implementation
- Participation in actions on site or online
- if applicable, assumption of a spokesperson position (e.g. spokesperson for social media, campaigns or networking)
What's needed
You don't need any special prerequisites or skills, all are welcome!
Time required
- Bimonthly (online) exchange meetings
- 2-3 (online) action workshops per year
- 2 face-to-face weekend meetings per year
