About the volunteering opportunity

At Indiwi Kiwi, fixed inclusive groups of children and young people go on day trips or weekend excursions in and around Berlin. Hiking, swimming, climbing, canoeing, camping - the Kiwis experience small adventures in the countryside.

Our children's groups are for children aged 6 to 12. Our group for teenagers at the age of 13-17 years.

We start with the children by bus and train and then hike a bit to a nice destination (Wanderdüne, Pfaueninsel, Erdbeerhof...). On the way, the children can explore places they find exciting (raised hide, bushes, hills...). At noon we have a picnic. We take as little equipment as possible. The emphasis is on free play and the journey is the destination.

The youth plan their own excursions. They take us along on the trip, not the other way around. On the way, it is allowed to take a wrong turn or for someone to fall into the water. The team only provides support in exceptional cases.

Of course, the groups are inclusive. Everybody is there!
