About the volunteering opportunity
Helping hands wanted for the first Friedehorst clothes swap!
Who hasn't experienced it: the closet is full, but some pants, skirts or blouses have only been sitting on the shelves for a long time. They're too good to throw away. Clothes swaps are a great alternative - like the first Friedehorst clothes swap, which we are organizing as part of the Climate Protection and Inclusion project.
We are looking for volunteers to help us with the planning and implementation on the day of the clothes swap. We would like to organize several events next year. However, we are also happy to receive active support for one event.
How does it work?
The principle is simple: under the motto "Swap yourself happy and bring a breath of fresh air into your closet!", everyone can bring up to 5 washed items of clothing in good condition. At the entrance to the clothes swap, our volunteers receive the items and sort them. Now it's time to browse and try them on. At the end, everyone can go home happy with up to 5 items. Clothes that are not swapped are donated.
Your Tasks
To make this event a success, we need your help! We are looking for volunteers to help us with the planning and on the day of the clothing fair. We need your help for the following tasks:
- Planning the event and organizing materials (e.g. clothes hangers)
- Setting up and dismantling
- Receiving and sorting clothes
- Check at the exit
- Supervising the coffee bar
- Supervising cake donations
What's needed
- Openness in dealing with people with and without disabilities
- Enjoyment in planning and implementing events
