Are you passionate about positive change and want to make a difference? Then you've come to the right place!
We are looking for a Social Media Volunteer (m/f/d) to help us implement our mission in the field of chimpanzee rescue, species conservation and educational work in southern Africa.
ABOUT US
The Chimfunshi e.V. is a dedicated non-profit organization that, together with the Chimfunshi Wildlife Orphanage Trust in Zambia, is committed to saving chimpanzees and protecting animals and nature. By taking in over 150 chimpanzees, caring for wild animals and engaging in educational work, Chimfunshi combines species and animal protection with helping people in Zambia to help themselves.
Your Tasks
● Conception and implementation of appealing content for social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn according to an editorial plan
● Developing social media strategies that promote our donation marketing
● Monitoring and evaluating the activities of other NGOs in the field of species conservation
● Operating the social media tools, e.g. Meta Business Manager
● Expanding other social media channels if necessary
● Collaboration with the CWOT social media team in Zambia
What's needed
● Experience in designing and implementing social media campaigns
● Strong communication skills and creativity
● German as mother tongue and fluent English
● Very good written and spoken communication skills
● Experience in image editing and creating short videos
● Structured work and enjoy taking on responsibility
● Enthusiasm for animal welfare, nature conservation and international development cooperation
● Enjoy spreading our message
Time required
Flexible working from home, at our office in Berlin or from the other side of the world (as required). Regular Zoom meetings in the team (as required)

Chimfunshi Verein zum Schutz bedrohter Umwelt e.V.
The Chimfunshi e.V. is committed to the protection of endangered chimpanzees and supports the Chimfunshi Wildlife Orphanage in Zambia. It is the largest sanctuary for chimpanzees that no longer have a natural home. Over 150 chimpanzees and numerous local wild animals are cared for on an area of more than 10,000 hectares. 70 employees and their families live on the site. Chimfunshi provides them with income, housing and basic medical care and also runs a school that is attended by around 220 children from the region.
