About the volunteering opportunity
Local politicians are increasingly exposed to hostility. With our workshops, we empower (future) local politicians to deal with hate and violence. We work almost exclusively on a voluntary basis, which is why we are looking for volunteers for our volunteer management team to help us recruit, involve and engage committed individuals to support our association's work.
Your Tasks
Together with the head office and the Executive Board, you will be able to contribute to the various areas of volunteer management in our association in an operational and guiding capacity:
Formulating and updating volunteering opportunities to attract new volunteers
Supporting the volunteer platforms (e.g. vostel.de, GoVolunteer and Let's Act) and corresponding with interested parties
Conducting introductory talks with interested parties and presenting the association
Supporting new volunteers in familiarizing themselves with the association's work and providing orientation, e.g. by creating onboarding documents
Planning and implementing measures to support, recognize and say goodbye to active members
Planning and organizing our face-to-face meetings (twice a year, currently in Hamburg) and other internal events such as training courses
Ongoing updating of the contact details of active volunteers
optional further activities of the association such as research, moderation of workshops, etc.
Our internal collaboration is almost exclusively digital. We use the Slack and Google Drive applications for this.
