About the volunteering opportunity
Do you want to stand up for democracy on social media? Do you want to set an example against extremism and discrimination and start getting involved? Then register now for our digital course and become part of our online community against hate online.
The following content awaits you:
- What is discrimination? What is extremism? What are the underlying narratives?
- How can I take action against hate online? How can I argue for democratic values?
- How can I create content myself and proactively advocate for the issue that is close to my heart?
Our next cours starts then:
april 22, 2025 - June 05, 2025: Every Tuesday and Thursday; 4:00 - 5:30 p.m.
Target group: Anyone who wants to join us in making the internet a more democratic place and taking a stand against hate
If you have any questions, please contact info@ceops.online or come to one of our non-binding information events.
For pupils (aged 15 and over): We also offer our courses at schools, for example as part of an AG. Talk to us and we'll find a date together. After completing our course, you can get involved online on your own. We will also provide you with long-term support beyond the duration of our courses.
Your Tasks
After the course, you will be part of our online community against hate online. At monthly graduate meetings, you can exchange ideas with other volunteers and discuss questions with our team.
You can decide for yourself how much time you want to invest in your commitment. Some people check social media every day and comment on or report discriminatory comments, while others only do this once a week. Of course, you also have the choice of only engaging with topics that particularly concern you personally. Be it anti-Muslim racism, anti-feminism, anti-Semitism, climate protection, etc.

CEOPS

The Center for Education on Online Prevention in Social Networks (CEOPS) uses digital training courses to enable young people throughout Germany to recognize group-related misanthropy in social networks and counteract it in the interests of promoting democracy. In two different formats, we address students aged 15 and over and young civil society activists.
