About the volunteering opportunity

This offer enables support in the areas of digitalization, Microsoft 365 and online communication through a variety of tasks, including answering inquiries, solving technical problems, creating instructions and peer coaching.
The tasks are varied and can be divided among several people.

Your Tasks

1. Support for employees and volunteers (remote & on-site possible):
  • Providing help and support with questions related to digitalization, Microsoft 365 and online communication
  • Answering inquiries by email, chat or telephone
  • Solving technical problems and supporting the use of digital tools
  • Creating surveys and evaluations

2. Creating instructions for an internal wiki (remote & on-site possible):
  • Creating easy-to-understand instructions and manuals for various aspects of digitalization, Microsoft 365 and online communication
  • Updating and maintaining the internal wiki to continuously expand and update knowledge

3. Peer coaching of volunteers or supervised people & digitally inexperienced people (tends to be possible from on-site):
  • Support with the use of smartphones, tablets & other digital devices
  • "Staying safe online" tips / data protection / privacy
  • Introduction to the use of digital services e.g. online appointments at the local authority, online shopping etc. > Financial transactions via advice centers
  • Sharing photos, use of social media

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
  • Sound knowledge of digitalization, especially Microsoft 365 and online communication tools
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in an understandable way
  • Strong communication skills and patience in dealing with different user groups
  • Organizational skills and the ability to present information in a clear and structured manner

In the event that approx. 2-4 different inquiries are received per week, an average working time of around 1 to 4 hours per week is required. This time takes into account the processing and resolution of the various inquiries in the areas of digitalization, Microsoft 365 and online communication as well as the creation and updating of instructions for the internal wiki. 

Actual time may vary depending on the volume and complexity of the requests. The volunteer is expected to respond to requests promptly and complete the relevant tasks within a reasonable timeframe.
