About the volunteering opportunity

This opportunity provides technical support for workshops, receptions and other events. Tasks include preparing and setting up the technical equipment, providing support during the event, and dismantling and returning the technical equipment.

Your Tasks

1. Preparing and setting up the technical equipment:

  • Checking and setting up projectors, screens, microphones and other technical equipment before the start of events
  • Ensuring that all required equipment is working properly and is ready for use

2. Support during the event:
  • Providing technical support during the event to ensure that all technical requirements are met
  • Resolving technical problems or malfunctions in real time to ensure the event runs smoothly
    • if required: support of the chat function, creation of breakout rooms, ...
3. Dismantling and returning the technical equipment:
  • Dismantling and proper packing of technical equipment at the end of the event
  • Returning the equipment to the relevant location or technical department

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.

  • Experience in working with technical equipment such as projectors, speakers, microphones, etc.
  • Ability to quickly identify and effectively resolve technical issues
  • Communication skills and teamwork to work closely with other event participants
  • Reliability and flexibility to keep a cool head and act quickly in stressful situations

An average working time of around 4 to 6 hours is required to provide technical support during a workshop lasting around 180 minutes. This time includes preparing the technical equipment, providing support during the event and dismantling the equipment at the end of the workshop.
