About the volunteering opportunity
In our Help Shop, we only sell products that are handmade in Nepal. We take great care to ensure that the men and women who make these products are paid a fair and good wage, with which they can provide for their children and families and that they can work under good working conditions. The proceeds in turn benefit our projects in Nepal, particularly in the areas of health and education.
Namaste Kids e.V. and Namaste Kids Nepal is a children's aid organization registered in Germany and Nepal. We founded our Help Shop in order to reduce our dependence on pure donations and still be able to finance our projects.
As we work exclusively on a voluntary basis in Germany, the administrative costs are very low. The proceeds from sales flow entirely into our projects. The main focus here is on our two funds: in particular the fund for the treatment of seriously ill children whose families cannot afford treatment. In addition, our education fund is financed by the Help Shop, which enables children to complete school and get an education. Education is an expensive commodity in Nepal, which poor families are often unable to provide for their children for very long. The sale of our products therefore supports and promotes those children who are among the poorest in the developing country of Nepal and who live in very remote and inaccessible regions of Nepal.
Your Tasks
We are looking for reinforcement in various areas for our small Help Shop team. The tasks are varied, very interesting and can be distributed differently, so that there are both physical tasks individually or in the community, as well as tasks that are largely or completely limited to the computer. It is also possible to be actively or passively involved in the organizational activities as such, the work in development support.
The amount of time required is variable and can be discussed individually and also changed in the course of the program.

Namaste Kids e.V. is an association founded by committed young people in Germany and Nepal. We are committed to providing children in Nepal with access to education and health care. In doing so, we want to reach especially those children who are most affected by poverty, diseases and social isolation.
