In-kind donation requests

In our volunteering office in southern Neukölln, we regularly hold counselling sessions with volunteers and those seeking support. In addition to our office, we also run a small neighborhood meeting place. In order to provide a more pleasant, inviting atmosphere in our premises, we are looking for furniture donations:
- ideally a sofa
- or 2-3 armchairs
- a small table

At our AWO "Am See" meeting place on Müggelsee, we offer volunteer-led yoga and Pilates classes - open to everyone, especially older people, people on low incomes and people with a migration background.
We are looking for donations in kind so that we can continue our free exercise and relaxation classes:

There are around 20 pupils living in our shared accommodation for particularly vulnerable refugees (AWO Refugium Marie-Schlei-Haus) who do not have their own laptop at home. The accommodation has some laptops, but they are not accessible to the students at all times and they cannot save their work on them. We are therefore looking for used laptops that are in good condition and can become the property of the pupils. Donations can be handed in at the accommodation at any time.

We need various hygiene articles and dog food for our homeless guests.

Our stove/oven combination is unfortunately no longer working, so we are looking for a new stove for our premises so that we can continue to offer community cooking events and cooking courses. We need a stove with 4 hotplates and a built-in oven for our beautiful Kitchen Hub in Berlin Schöneberg.

We are looking for laptops, preferably with current operating software (Windows 11), with camera, microphone, wifi, bluetooth, charger. The battery does not necessarily have to be in working order.

Our accommodation for refugees is looking for simple used digital cameras for an upcoming project in which residents learn photography together with a professional photographer in a series of workshops. It is particularly important that the cameras allow manual image settings. Both compact cameras and system cameras with an appropriate lens are of interest.

The aim of the workshops is to empower the residents to record their everyday lives photographically, but also to express themselves through the art form of photography and to process what they have experienced.

At the end of the project, a photo exhibition is planned in the accommodation; a public exhibition of the resulting works is also planned, but not yet finalized.

At our emergency shelter for homeless men at Ohlauer Str. 22 in Berlin-Kreuzberg, we are always in urgent need of clothing for our homeless guests:

- Men's clothing: jackets, pants, T-shirts, underwear in good condition, sweaters, hats, scarves, gloves

- Hygiene articles (new): Shower gel, toothpaste, toothbrushes, disposable razors,

- Tents, sleeping mats, sleeping bags

Dear ladies and gentlemen

on behalf of the Blumberger Damm reception center, we would like to ask for your support. We would like to create opportunities for our residents to take part in sporting activities and stay physically fit. Exercise and training are not only important for health, but also contribute to well-being, stress reduction and social interaction.

We are therefore looking for donations or loans of fitness equipment, for example

Used equipment in good condition is also very valuable to us.

We are looking for chess boards for our men's café in the accommodation for refugees.

For a new cycling course for refugee women in our accommodation, as well as for use in leisure time, we are looking for approx. 8 women's bikes.

We are looking for ten yoga mats for a yoga project at our refugee housing.

Our guests look forward to a hot cup of coffee every morning and afternoon.
With up to 600 guests a day, we need 100 liters of coffee and therefore 10 packs of ground coffee a day.

We are happy about every donation of ground coffee to be able to cover the supply with increasing numbers of guests.

We are looking for a table tennis table for the outdoor area of our transitional accommodation for homeless people in Frankfurt-Griesheim, which can be set up there permanently and used primarily by children and young people.

To prevent our "Struwwi moms", their babies and children (and of course the dads ☺️) from getting sunburnt on our outdoor area, we urgently need two large new parasols with UV protection. Unfortunately, one has lost its "cape", which has broken over the years, and the other has broken rails that are now hanging down dangerously - but we can't do without it, we need the shade.

Hello everyone!

We are looking for large-format children's books (larger than DIN A4) for the waiting areas of our children's center. The books should be colorful, rich in pictures and in good condition. They are intended to shorten the waiting time for our young patients with various physical and cognitive disabilities.

Format: larger than A4
Target group: Children aged 3-10 years
Place of use: Children's hospital (therefore in mint condition please)

Why large?
Large books are easier to look at together, have larger motifs and are therefore easier to grasp for children with motor and cognitive disabilities.

We are looking for new sleeping bags with a small pack size. We hand them out in the eva warming room. People who are homeless can stay here, take a shower, get a meal and lock up their personal belongings.

We are a small, non-profit organization that is highly committed to a network without hate and hate speech. Our team consists of full-time and volunteer staff who work together both on site and digitally.

In order to make our hybrid collaboration more effective and inclusive, we would like to improve our equipment. In particular, we urgently need a 180-degree conference camera that will enable us to conduct our meetings in such a way that participants connected online can also feel like an equal part of the group.

With such a camera, we could:

during our missions, we not only want to offer our guests warm accommodation and support, but also preserve their dignity. That's why we distribute so-called "goody bags", which contain important hygiene items for everyday life - including toothbrushes, toothpaste, shower gel (for men, women and neutral), disposable razors, shaving gel and tissues.

Unfortunately, our guests often do not have essential hygiene items, especially feminine hygiene products and incontinence pants. These items are essential for daily life and contribute significantly to the well-being.

We kindly ask you to support us in procuring these urgently needed items. Every donation, in whatever form, helps us to give our guests a little dignity and comfort.

We are looking for books for children and young people for a library project in our accommodation for refugees at Tempelhofer Feld. We are particularly happy to receive books in the following languages:

- Farsi
- Georgian
- Russian
- Turkish
- Arabic

Other languages are also welcome, just get in touch with us if you are unsure whether the donation is needed.

For the accommodation for refugees in the old Tempelhof Airport, we are looking for bicycles of all sizes for our residents, especially for adults.
We are happy to receive bicycles that are ready to ride and completely intact, but also those that we can make ready for use with minor repairs.

You are welcome to bring them directly to us. Alternatively, we can also make an appointment to pick them up ourselves, which just requires a little lead time and planning (for the transport rental via our organization).

A total of 2707 people are currently living in the Tegel arrival center - 21.05.2025.
Since the fall of 2022, Malteser colleagues at the hair salon have been providing simple haircuts such as shortening or straightening hair free of charge - especially for older people or people with disabilities. However, the majority of visitors use the hair salon to style their own hair. There are two permanent hairdressing stations on site with the appropriate equipment and appliances.
In the last six months, an average of around 70 people a week have used the hair salon's services - i.e. up to 15 - 17 people a day.

The hair salon is open Monday to Friday from 08.30 am to 04.00 pm.
We are therefore looking for donations of consumables for the hair salon - we need ruffs, scissors, water spray bottles, hair clips, i.e. everything that is available from a regular hairdresser.

We are looking for a functional overlock sewing machine - new or used - for our sewing group in a shared accommodation facility in Berlin.

Our group consists of motivated residents who enjoy sewing on Saturdays, strengthening their sense of community, their craft skills and their German language skills.

We at Über den Tellerrand kochen München e.V. are currently moving into new premises - a big step for us, as we are finally creating our own permanent space for intercultural encounters, shared learning and empowerment in the heart of Munich.

At the heart of our work is the Gastro Academy, an intensive training program for people with experience of flight and migration who want to gain a foothold in the catering industry. This is complemented by creative meeting formats, cooking evenings, women's groups and workshops. In short, our rooms are transformed almost daily - sometimes as a training room, sometimes as an office, sometimes as a dining room, sometimes as a workshop.

For this, we need modular, high-quality furniture that grows with our ideas. Tables and chairs that can be easily folded, stacked and rearranged. That can be withdrawn when space is needed - and are ready for use again the next day.
