About the volunteering opportunity
Do you enjoy organizing, office work, database maintenance and ideally also writing texts and have a knack for social media? If you are also looking for voluntary work in the non-profit sector, you've come to the right place!
We are looking for a person who has the time and desire to support our MARIE volunteer office for approx. 2-3 hours per week (and as required).
MARIE is the contact point for people interested in volunteering at AWO Berlin Kreisverband Südost e.V. We organize and support volunteering in the facilities and projects of the district association, which are located in Neukölln, Lichtenberg, Treptow-Köpenick and Reinickendorf. We also coordinate a mentoring project that runs throughout Berlin. Our office is located in Süd-Neukölln.
Your Tasks
We would be very grateful for a helping hand in these areas:
- Public relations work to attract new volunteers (creating appealing texts for our volunteer opportunities and maintaining corresponding online portals)
- Creating posts for our Instagram channel
- Maintaining our digital database
- Office organization (e.g. managing mail)
For this voluntary commitment, you should be open-minded, have a certain affinity for social media and IT skills.

The MARIE Engagement Office is the contact point for volunteering at AWO Berlin Kreisverband Südost e.V.
We advise interested parties on the opportunities and framework conditions for volunteering in the district association's facilities and projects.
We place interested volunteers in a suitable placement.
We offer volunteers:
Contact persons,
Insurance cover (accident and liability),
Proof of volunteer work,
Further training, exchange of experience, etc.
Our facilities are located in the Berlin districts of Neukölln, Lichtenberg, Reinickendorf and Treptow-Köpenick.
Daycare centers, after-school care centers, family centers, 1:1 support as part of a sponsorship... The opportunities for volunteering with us are many and varied!
