About the volunteering opportunity

Are you committed, have good computer experience and IT skills and are open to meeting people from different countries and cultures? Then you would be a good fit for our computer courses, where people from refugee and migrant backgrounds can learn various IT basics and apply and practise their new knowledge.

Your Tasks

  • You would teach the participants basic IT content in workshop form and bring in your own experience to support them.
  • You create an open and inclusive atmosphere in which people from different backgrounds feel welcome and a safe exchange is possible.
  • You use your creativity to provide input and ideas for the design and structure of the workshops.

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity, basic German skills are required.

Time required

Project-based
On weekdays, on weekends, during the day
When exactly you can get involved will be discussed and decided depending on the workshops.

Where?

Malteser Hilfsdienst e.V. Berlin

"...because proximity counts" is the guiding principle that drives us to provide help where it is needed. In Berlin, we are there where we are needed with over 1,000 volunteers, and throughout Germany with over 52,000 volunteers: in disaster control, in integration, for lonely, elderly and sick people, for children and young people, for the dying and the grieving.
