About the volunteering opportunity
Would you like to help shape an inclusive sports festival and gain valuable experience in organization and event management? For the 10th Sozialympia, which will take place on 25 July 2025, we are looking for a committed volunteer to support our team with the organization.
The Sozialympia is an inclusive sports festival where people with and without disabilities come together to be active in sports and set an example for more togetherness in Berlin. The event is organized in cooperation with many Berlin sponsors (including Unionhilfswerk) and the Friedrichshain district office.
Your Tasks
- Participation in monthly planning meetings (on site in Kreuzberg or digitally).
- Taking minutes during the meetings.
- Entering tasks on the Miro Board and distributing them to team members.
- Taking on smaller organizational tasks.
- On-site support on the day of the event, July 25, 2025.
What's needed
Volunteers must be native German speakers.
- Interest in event and project management.
- Reliability and willingness to "always be there" at the monthly meetings.
- Basic knowledge of digital tools (e.g. Miro, e-mail communication).
- Enjoy working with various stakeholders and on inclusive projects.
Time required
- From February to July 2025: Participation in monthly meetings (approx. 2 hours per month).
- On the day of the event (July 25, 2025): On-site support.(8:00-16:00)
- Flexible times for smaller tasks between meetings.
Important notice
With your commitment, you will help to organize a special sports festival that connects people and promotes inclusion in Berlin. You will work together with a motivated team from various Berlin organizations and gain valuable experience in the field of event organization.
