About the volunteering opportunity
Zero Waste Cologne is committed to avoiding waste and conserving resources in Cologne. To this end, we regularly organize events such as thing and clothing swaps, zero waste picnics, cleanups and workshops.
As part of the EcoHopper Festival from 9 - 11 May, we are organizing an information booth and exhibition on the topic of zero waste, a booth for rescued food and a cleanup. No special knowledge is required, just an interest in the topic. There are always experienced members of Zero Waste Köln at the booth.

Your Tasks
Fri. 09.05. / 4 - 10:30 p.m.
- Setting up and dismantling the information booth, exhibition and food sharing booth
- Support at the food sharing booth
- Support at the information booth
Sat. 10.05. / 11:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
- Set-up and dismantling of information booth and exhibition
- Support at the information booth
S0. 11.05. / 11:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.
- Setting up and dismantling the information booth and exhibition
- Support at the information booth
- Handing out gloves and garbage bags for the cleanup
- Taking back the gloves, collecting garbage bags and preparing them for collection by the AWB
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
Time required
Project-based
By arrangement. You can also help with individual shifts, but at least 3-4 hours should be planned.
Important notice
On Friday we will be accompanied by a camera team for a YouTube channel.
