About the volunteering opportunity
We are looking for passionate HR professionals and recruiters to support our students on their career journey! Our students are newcomers to the tech industry and often need guidance from professionals who understand hiring processes, job market trends, and application best practices. Your insights can help build their confidence and improve their chances of landing a job.
These sessions are part of ReDI School’s ongoing Career Services support, which helps students navigate the job market with practical advice and real-world insights.
Your Tasks
- Join a monthly (or bi-monthly) online session on Fridays for 1 to 1.5 hours
- Answer students’ individual questions about CVs, interviews, job search strategies, and hiring expectations
- Share tips and honest feedback to help students better understand recruitment processes
- Collaborate with the ReDI Career Team to agree on the session format and topics in advance (e.g. open Q&A, breakout rooms, themed sessions)
- Help us create a welcoming and supportive space for students at different career stages
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity you don't need any German skills.
- Background in Human Resources, Recruitment, or Talent Acquisition in tech industry
- Experience with CV screening, interviewing, or career advising
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain hiring processes in a clear, supportive way
- Comfortable interacting with people from diverse backgrounds and career levels
- Willingness to share honest, constructive feedback in a kind and respectful manner
- Interest in mentoring or guiding individuals who are new to the job market or transitioning careers

Important notice
ReDI School of Digital Integration is a non-profit tech school providing access to free digital education. We speed-up job market integration for Newcomers and Locals alike!
Since 2016, we offer a variety of courses; from Computer Basics to more advanced tech courses. Additionally, we offer a unique career program including mentorship, career workshops, company visits, job matching and much more. A semester takes 3-4 months (part time) and the teachers are volunteer tech experts.

ReDI School of Digital Integration
ReDI School of Digital Integration is a non-profit digital school for newcomers in Berlin. The school offers its students free, high-quality training, the chance to join the startup and digital industry, and a physical platform to connect newcomers to locals.
To support the students in their studies, ReDI equips them with workstations in co-working spaces and access to technical mentors to work in project groups. Apart from technological skills, ReDI also provides know-how of digital entrepreneurs, and connects students early on with the local startup scene and potential employers through networking events.
