As part of the ArrivalAid integration support program, refugees are supported in their integration process, as there is a great need for assistance. The volunteers help with various everyday challenges, such as understanding letters or learning and practising German. They can also provide support with homework or simply with finding their way around the city, or with leisure activities. We are particularly happy to hear from committed people who are willing to help with finding accommodation.
First, you take part in a three-hour introductory training course. This is followed by a 6-12-month mentoring phase with selected refugees. During this time, you can take advantage of the ArrivalAid Academy's free training courses on the most important integration topics. In addition, ArrivalAid will always have a full-time volunteer on hand to answer any questions you may have.
For your commitment as a mentor in integration support, you should have the time and motivation to accompany a mentee at least once for around two hours per week for six months.
