As part of the ArrivalAid integration support, refugees are supported in their integration process - because after the recognition of asylum applications, the need for accompaniment is enormous. The volunteers help, for example, with the search for an apartment, a kindergarten place or with other challenges of everyday life such as understanding letters or learning German.
First, you will participate in an entry-level training. After that, a 6-12 month accompaniment phase with selected refugees will start. In this phase, the most important integration steps are identified together with the refugees and approached in a solution-oriented manner. Together with the refugees, you can go through a curriculum at the ArrivalAid Academy on the most important integration topics and contact experts for individual questions.
You should participate in a three-hour initial qualification (in the form of a webinar) and have the opportunity to attend free training courses at the ArrivalAid Academy. For your commitment as a mentor in the integration support you should have time and motivation to accompany a mentee at least once for about two hours per week and for six months.
The requirements for a collaboration with ArrivalAid are time and motivation to accompany the refugee in important integration steps for at least 6 months. You should also bring intercultural sensitivity and participate in the initial training
approximately two hours per week, for six months
ArrivalAid is a not-for-profit organisation for the support of refugees. In several independent projects - the ArrivalAid Hearing and Complaint Support, ArrivalAid Integration Support, ArrivalAid Jobs&Careers, ArrivalNews, ArrivalAid Job Mentoring, ArrivalAid Academy - our qualified volunteers help new citizens with their various integration steps.
