We are looking for support for our day-to-day operations in the area of public relations (including the social media platforms Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube). We already have a decent reach in various channels, but would like to expand this further through regular and meaningful postings. In this context, the idea of education around animal welfare topics (focus on dogs/cats) is very important to us.
In addition, we are strategically building up our public relations team in order to be able to expand and develop the areas of homepage, press relations, blog, podcasts etc.
In the area of social media, we work with the planning and publishing tool Hootsuite. In coordination with the public relations team, the following tasks should be taken on:
- Content planning and creation
- ensure consistent presence in the channels
- Dialogue with our followers / interact, like, share, answer questions, etc.
- develop and implement innovative ideas on how we can achieve more reach
- Support fundraising through appropriate social media campaigns
Likewise, we are looking for volunteers who want to get involved in the areas of press relations and homepage. Here, too, we offer you the opportunity to actively participate and contribute ideas.
You are right with us if you:
- are a communicative type - externally and internally
- like to communicate and feel comfortable in the context of social media channels
- You really, really enjoy social media and content management is not stressful for you, because you spend a lot of time on your mobile phone/laptop anyway - if you don't like to be online, don't like to post, you are not suitable for our social media task ;-)
- you like to post about cats and dogs
- you like animals
- you are aware that we want to see a certain amount of posts online to maintain and strategically expand our presence
- you can express yourself well, your spelling is good
- you like to enjoy club life
- you fulfill promised tasks responsibly and don't let us down
- like us, you are looking for continuity. We do not need help "for a few weeks". We are looking for reliable helpers who are willing to support our team in the long run. :-)
If you have between 2 and 4 hours a week to spend with us, the work is easy to do, although more is possible if you can spare the time. You can divide your time within the team. You can coordinate with each other and split it up so that it suits everyone. A continuous presence in the social media through this division among each other should be ensured.
It is important to us that you also keep a voluntary promise and fulfill your promised activities, because we rely on it.
We always have prospects who initially want to help us, but then fail to complete their tasks. If you apply to join us, please remember that social media is an operational day-to-day business that exists throughout. We have a team in the public relations department, you can agree on tasks and distribute them. But we still need some reliability as we rely on our external communications, including for fundraising
There are no limits in researching animal welfare issues and creating appropriate posts. What is really important to us - social media is interaction with followers*. If you don't like social media, then this is not the job for you. But maybe in the area of press relations, strategy and control of public relations, homepage design and relaunch project? We have many aspects of our public relations that we want to restructure and rebuild.
The work and coordination in the team is very important for us despite mainly virtual work - we are an association and live this. Therefore we are looking for continuous help - within Corona we had many "flash in the pan" helpers who came and went. We are definitely looking for people who don't just want to "do something for a bit". If you want to volunteer for the animals in your spare time, then you are right with us - we are looking forward to your request!
