We are a small animal welfare association in the Rhine-Main area that focuses on the protection of and help for cats and dogs in need. We work throughout Germany and with partner organisations in Spain. Our work is based on three main areas of education, spaying/neutering and animal placement/adoption and we work entirely on a voluntary basis.
Our work is aimed at animal lovers. We are looking for supporters in almost all areas, as we are growing and developing as an association. We want to sensitize and educate people about the humane treatment of animals, and to take care of street animals that have a hard life and are in need. Here, our focus is on long-term, sustainable neutering projects and local education to combat the cause that leads to animal abandonment. Our animal placement/adoption serves to publicize our mission and to build a network to make supporters aware of us. We also educate interested parties about the issues surrounding the care of cats and dogs.
We finance our work through donations. In addition, there is the income from our volunteer-run Happy Lädchen. Here, donations in kind (mainly clothing, decoration and home accessories) are sold as second hand and the proceeds flow completely into our animal welfare work.
Our goal is the sustainable improvement of the situation of animals in need. We want to draw attention to the issues, create more awareness for the responsibility that is part of it when people decide to have a pet. We also do strong political lobbying in the regions we work with to promote sustainable neutering projects that are supported by the population and politicians alike.
