About the volunteering opportunity
Many seniors are unsure how to use their smartphone or tablet properly. Therefore, we are looking for volunteers who can imagine working as so-called technology ambassadors to support seniors in testing and use. In a 1 to 1 relationship, for example, the use of video telephony, email programs, health app and / or other apps can be explained and practiced.
Your Tasks
Starting in June 2021, open smartphone consultations and workshops will be offered at various locations in Porz. Senior citizens are happy to receive help. The use will be prepared and accompanied with further training, guidelines and materials.
The rooms on site will only be opened when the pandemic allows it, so please be patient.

The Office for Civic Commitment of the AWO Cologne is a consulting service. People who are willing to volunteer will receive advice and will be placed in organisations that work with volunteers. Further priority will be given to LESEMENTOR Cologne, young volunteers, further education and voluntary refugee work.
