About the volunteering opportunity
You would like to help children, teenagers or young adults improve their future prospects through tutoring? You are interested in an exciting task and are motivated and enjoy working with young people? Then we are looking for you for a volunteer position in the area of learning support/tutoring in a shelter for refugees in Cologne Porz. You can convey knowledge sustainably and age-appropriately with the help of digital media and digital devices? An appreciative, respectful approach and a critical attitude towards racism are part of your everyday life?
Your Tasks
Committed Cologne residents with an affinity for digital media and basic knowledge in the use of digital devices (smartphone, tablet, laptop) Framework conditions. We accompany and advise you on your volunteer work. We network you with other volunteers and offer you a connection to the qualified social work professionals on site. In addition, you will receive free training opportunities for your professional development during and after your studies/training.
What's needed

The Office for Civic Commitment of the AWO Cologne is a consulting service. People who are willing to volunteer will receive advice and will be placed in organisations that work with volunteers. Further priority will be given to LESEMENTOR Cologne, young volunteers, further education and voluntary refugee work.
