Public bookcases are a fantastic way to make books you've already read available to other people for free, while also finding great new reading material for yourself.
On the OpenBookCase page, you'll find a map where you can find many bookcases in your city. If a bookcase near you is not listed yet, you can easily add it yourself.

What are 5-Minute Commitments?
With our 5-Minute Commitments, we want to inspire you to easily integrate volunteering into your everyday life. They are independent of non-profit organizations and allow you to individually get involved for people and nature in your neighborhood.
Your Tasks
Sort out books you've already read and take them to a public bookcase near you.
What's needed
No special previous knowledge is necessary.
Time required
You'll probably have to walk a short distance to the nearest bookcase. In many cases, however, this can be wonderfully combined with a walk.
Location
This project is location independent.
