About the volunteering opportunity
We are looking for volunteer support for our open play and language café in our shared accommodation on Neustädter Str.
Your Tasks
We want to play with the children in the play and language café, speak German with the parents, help with homework or German questions, help in the clothes exchange chamber and also realize own ideas and offers that the volunteers can bring.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
It is important for us that you enjoy the work and speak openly with us. In addition, the work with children requires an extended certificate of good conduct. We will be happy to help you with the application.
Time required
Regularly
Approx. 4 hours per month.
On weekdays, during the day
The language café should have a certain regularity, but we want to discuss this together with you, when we want to organize the language and play café. It is important to us as a team to consider together what is best for the volunteers and the residents. :)
The idea so far is to have it every 2 weeks for 2 hours.

It is important to us that we are always in exchange with each other. You work should bring joy and help people. If you are not well and the time no longer allows it, you can always talk to us and not fear any evildoing.

When you read "Johanniter", you usually think of blue lights and first aid courses. But we do even more: our regional association was founded in 1990. Since then, we have been looking after all those who want and need our help. In the Leipzig/North Saxony area, around 900 employees work for Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe on a full-time and voluntary basis. We run daycare centers, children's and youth facilities and care for elderly people in their own homes. We are active in refugee aid and civil protection, train our young people in youth groups and ensure safety at events with paramedics. Become a part of it too!
