Pack and deliver food boxes to senior citizens

Silbertaler is a project of Beyond Unisus Stiftung gGmbH, which was founded in March 2021 by Beyond Matters GmbH and Unisus Capital GmbH. 

Silbertaler is one of Beyond Unisus' projects and has set itself the task of supporting senior citizens who have fallen on hard times. We take action when necessities are lacking for senior citizens who still live at home. But also for those in a nursing home who are provided for, but have nothing left for the little pleasures of life.

We support with or take over the acquisition of goods of daily use, such as:

• Food
• Hygiene items such as diapers, soap and detergent
• Electrical appliances such as refrigerator, stove, washing machine and coffee maker
• Furniture such as beds, mattresses or cabinets
• Glasses or dentures

We are looking for you to pack and deliver food boxes to senior citizens in need in the Speyer area, who are no longer mobile and live at home. We are also looking for people with manual skills to help our senior citizens.

The most important requirement for volunteering at Silbertaler is your passion for wanting to help others. Beyond that, there is very little you need to bring with you to become a hero for your fellow human beings as a Silbertaler. 

If you want to get involved with Silbertaler, you don't need to write an application or list your skills in a resume. Everyday skills are important to us - such as good communication skills or the ability to organize well. We also need people with manual skills or social competence. In short, every helping hand is welcome.

We can not yet say how much your hourly commitment will be. Therefore, we will discuss this individually. The project "save food" and deliver to seniors in need, is just getting started.  Probably it will be 1x a week, depending on demand.
