About the volunteering opportunity

We are looking for course leaders who want to design courses for children and young people as part of the "Young Curriculum Lichtenberg" (short: JuCuLi). In the courses children and young people can learn interest-led and exchange themselves over 6 - 12 weeks regularly with like-minded people.

Depending on the course offer, up to 12 participants take part in these courses and receive a certificate afterwards. Our "adult education center for children" takes up topics from crafts, art and culture, science and nature or sports.

You can make children's eyes light up, get them excited about your topic / hobby and help them experience success.

You can find information about the project here: http://juculi.sozdia.de/Junges-Curriculum-Lichtenberg.2583.0.html

If you are interested or have any questions, feel free to contact our Anja (coordination JuCuLi) directly: juculi@sozdia.de or write us here via vostel.de.

Your Tasks

You can ...
- carve figures out of wood?
- make cosmetic products from natural & sustainable ingredients?
- write poems or short poems?
- cook seasonal or international dishes?
- the technique of screen printing?
- make cardboard mesh artwork?
- watercolor painting?
- photography?
- or completely different things?

Committed take over the course leadership for a heart theme. Together with Anja, the scope, the rhythm and the time is determined.

We organize the necessary material with the course leaders, go into advertising for the course offering and are available during the implementation of all questions and problems to the side.

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.

- a subject close to your heart / hobby or interest that you would like to pass on to young people

- Joy in explaining and imparting knowledge

- Patience in dealing with newcomers

- Time to be available for several weeks at a fixed date and time

Time required

Project-based
On weekdays, during the day

A course lasts usually 6 - 12 weeks and is held weekly at a fixed time (lasts between 90 and 180 minutes per appointment, depending on the topic and content) and with a fixed group of participants.

Important notice

The courses are funded by the district within the framework of youth work and are aimed at children and young people with food punt in Lichtenberg. The easy access and the low (or no) participation fees ensure that all interested parties can take advantage of the course offer.

We look forward to people who want to pass on their enthusiasm for or knowledge about a topic to children and young people. It is therefore ideal if the participants can also apply and deepen their knowledge afterwards and, for example, no expensive equipment is required for this!
