About the volunteering opportunity
What is this commitment about?
Living in an energy-saving and sustainable way is not only sensible for your own electricity bill. You also save important resources. And even small changes in your cooking can make a difference.

What are 5-Minute Commitments?
With our 5-Minute Commitments, we want to inspire you to easily integrate commitment into your everyday life. They are independent of non-profit organizations and allow you to individually get involved with people and nature in your neighborhood.
Your Tasks
All you need to do in passive cooking is turn off the stove earlier than usual, after the water is already boiling a little. For pasta, it is already enough to let the water boil briefly, put the lid on it and let the pasta finish cooking. You can also always use much less water than the recommended amount. With these simple measures, you can save quite a bit of energy, resources and money over time. In addition, with dishes from the oven, it is usually not necessary to preheat.
What's needed
This 5-minute commitment doesn't require any special prerequisites.
Time required
This commitment is easy to incorporate into your daily cooking routine.
Important notice
Each stove is different. An induction stove usually does not give off residual heat, unlike an electric stove. Thus, you can examine the different cooking times with a taste test.
Location
This project is location independent.
