About the volunteering opportunity
We are looking for motivated people who would like to support children's and youth groups once a week with a focus on first aid or sewing. From the age of 16, you are welcome to come along and help. In the group sessions, children's rights, first aid/health promotion and many other topics are covered with fun and games. Come and have a look!
Your Tasks
Together with other youth group leaders, you will organize a weekly group lesson on various topics (environment, children's rights, health issues, etc.). You can start your own projects and contribute your own ideas. The local groups focus on developing basic first aid skills in a fun way. However, there is support from other group leaders for this!
In the sewing group, you will impart knowledge about sewing and help to implement group projects.
You can continue to participate in the organization of excursions, tent camps, etc. and/or compete with your group in the annual JRK district competition.
You decide whether it should be the classic children's and youth group or a group with a themed focus!

What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
You don't need any prerequisites to get to know us and get a taste of what it's like. If you would like to lead a group with us in the long term, you need the following prerequisites:
- Youth group leader training (JuLeiCa)
- JRK child protection seminar
- Extended certificate of good conduct
- Signed code of conduct for the prevention of violence
- Participation in the Red Cross introductory seminar
We will of course be happy to help you fulfill the requirements!

The Frankfurt Youth Red Cross offers children, teenagers and young people the opportunity to work towards humanitarian and social goals: Social commitment, health and the environment, peace and international understanding, political and social co-responsibility. This takes place in youth groups in the city districts, in the school first aid service, at vacation camps and other events, in emergency response and through open educational programs.
