Learning sustainability - children shape the future at Vogelstang

The Vogelstang youth center offers many different activities such as billiards, air field hockey, table tennis, table football, computers, games consoles and various board and card games. In the basement there is a workshop, a recording studio and much more. The youth center also has a large roof terrace with many different raised beds. We at youngcaritas - the volunteer organization for young adults - offer a weekly activity for the children on site.

The program takes place every Tuesday from around 4.00 to 6.00 pm at the Vogelstang youth center. Together with children, we start various sustainability projects: handicrafts, gardening, cooking and so on. Various ideas and opportunities to help shape the topic of sustainability are introduced in a playful and child-friendly way. Do you enjoy working with children? ...and would you like to work with other young people to make sustainability an everyday topic for children and help them learn to shape their future? Then we look forward to getting to know you.

Your Tasks

To take part in the sustainability project, you don't need to be an expert on the subject of sustainability or have super skills in cooking, handicrafts or gardening. You just need to be interested in sustainability in general and enjoy working with children.
There is also room for your own ideas and creative design!

What's needed

You need an intermediate level of German for this volunteering opportunity.

every Tuesday from approx. 4.00 to 6.00 pm, selective support for individual appointments is also possible
