About the volunteering opportunity
Pregnancy and the birth of a child are not easy for many families. A baby demands a lot of care and attention, 24 hours a day. In families with several children, parents have to do justice to all of them and often don't find time for themselves or important errands. Volunteer family mentors can provide uncomplicated support and relief in everyday life.
Your Tasks
Looking for a loving female mentor for a family with 4 children (8, 5, 3, 2). A rare hereditary disease of the daughter is very challenging for the parents in everyday life. They would like a mentor who supports the family regularly with calmness and joy. Especially during the week, when the father is at work, the young mother would appreciate a helping hand. Specifically, she would be grateful, if the mentor would like to read to the children, do homework with the eldest son or take the older children to the playground. The parents are originally from Somalia and speak good German.
