About the volunteering opportunity
Tafel Grünberg provides fresh food to several thousand local people living in poverty who are often unable to afford a balanced diet. In addition to social compensation, food banks make an important contribution to climate protection by saving many tons of high-quality products from the garbage can.
Your Tasks
Collecting food from supermarkets and bakeries, food production, etc.
Sorting food to prepare it for distribution.
Handing out food to food bank customers.
Organization at the food bank Registration of new customers, route planning, fundraising or public relations.

Tafel Deutschland e.V.
Over 970 food banks, one mission: to save food and help people living in poverty. The food banks rescue food that can no longer be sold and pass it on to people in poverty who often cannot afford a balanced diet.
With 60,000 helpers, the food banks are one of the largest socio-ecological movements in Germany. Every year, they save around 265,000 tons of food and pass it on to 1.6 to 2 million people.
