About the volunteering opportunity
In our Alt-Treptow care home, we offer three visiting services for three residents (one man, two women) who long for company and enjoy getting out into the fresh air. We are looking for volunteer caregivers who can respond to the residents' individual needs. The seniors are looking forward to your visits and outings with them. If you have 2 hours a week and would like to give some joy, then get in touch with us.
Your Tasks
- Regular visits
- Responding sensitively to the stories and memories of the residents
- Going for walks in the surrounding area to get some fresh air if necessary
- Willingness to adapt flexibly to individual needs
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
- Empathy and patience in dealing with older people
- Willingness to adapt to the individual needs and abilities of senior citizens and to provide them with appropriate support
- Reliability and punctuality
