About the volunteering opportunity
Enabling bike tours/rides for people with reduced mobility. We are a rental station for the Pedder special bike, a bike where you sit next to each other and with which people with limited mobility can also enjoy bike rides. However, not everyone has a companion who can accompany them on these bike rides. You ride together with people on the Pedder special bike and give them mobile freedom and an afternoon of fun.
Your Tasks
You ride a parallel tandem, a bike where you sit next to each other, with people with limited mobility. It is an e-bike. The users can pedal along actively or use the footplate if it becomes too strenuous for them.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
You should be outgoing and empathetic in order to engage with people with disabilities. You should also feel confident riding special bicycles and be able to participate safely in road traffic.
