About the volunteering opportunity
With our project “Speakbuddy”, we use an innovative smart algorithm to bring immigrants and locals together for intercultural tandem and community activities.
Meet each other, make friends, live diversity! As a Speak Buddy you promote language acquisition and intercultural exchange in an international and intergenerational environment. Whether young or old, native or immigrant, you can plunge into new worlds and experience new perspectives.
As a newcomer, you get the chance to use and consolidate your language skills in various everyday situations. As a local you accompany newly arrived and support their language acquisition through exchange and shared leisure activities.

We are looking for locals and newcomers who wish to have personal encounters and exchanges with people from different cultural backgrounds

For this volunteering opportunity, basic German skills are required.

At Grow Together Germany, we use an intelligent algorithm to bring immigrants and locals together for intercultural tandems and community meetings and offer organizations and partners a place where they can work together to promote social interactions and strengthen mutual understanding between people from different cultural backgrounds. The aim is to strengthen social integration - for real togetherness, so that we can create a society in which everyone feels at home.
